  • Design expertise – Metricon accesses a range of in-house and specialist designers to create project specific solutions that meet the design guidelines of each client. The master designs generate many other efficiencies and enable us to drive our client’s budget further.

  • Building efficiencies – investing in master designs at the outset of the project enable numerous time and cost efficiencies including;

    • Initial feasibility: Home designs are able to be priced almost immediately once a site is identified.
    • Pre-site: The pre-agreed specifications enables planning applications, construction drawings and other pre-site requirements to be completed at a vastly reduced time compared with bespoke designs.
    • Onsite: Master designs are then able to be built much faster than individually designed homes as they are pre-linked to Metricon’s software (just in time ordering systems) and supply chain. Trades and site managers are familiar with building the homes thereby reducing errors and enabling predictable construction time frames.
  • Economies of scale – we leverage Metricon’s broad range of supplier agreements and purchasing power to gain the best value for your investment. Master designs mean that there is a predictable and significant pipeline of orders for suppliers that enables Metricon to obtain the best commercial terms.

  • Trusted supply chain – our supply chain is extremely robust based on the tenure of our commercial partnerships, the reliability and promptness of our payment and the volume of our construction program. This also provides strong responsibility amongst the supply chain to attend promptly and effectively to any issues.

  • Reliable trade network – high construction volumes can be managed without undermining performance as we have strong existing relationships with a range of trade partners in each state providing certainty around timeframes.

  • Construction quality – We inspect each home at six crucial stages to ensure the most rigorous building standards possible. Our Service and Warranty team proactively make contact to address any ‘settling in’ maintenance concerns after three months.

  • Financial stability – Metricon is a strong reliable Australian owned business. We work for Government and larger Community Housing Providers in several States.
